How to apply your press on nails
Whether you choose to apply with glue or gel pads, nail preparation will be the same. Use the preparation kit included with your order.
Nail preparation :
1- Using the stick, push back your cuticles.
2- Take the buffer block and lightly scratch the top of your nail. You can also do this with a nail file.
3- Clean your nails with the alcohol wipe to remove dust and oil from your nail. This will also help dry the nail for better adhesion.
4- Nothing should touch your nail, not even your own fingers.
Application with gel pads:
1- Once the nail is prepared, choose the gel pad that fits the nail. It should cover as much of the nail as possible, without going over the edge. If the gel pad is too wide or too long, you can cut it.
2- Heat the chosen gel between your two fingers by rubbing it lightly, then peel off the gel pad and place it on the nail about 1mm from the cuticle.
3- Rub the gel pad against the nail to reactivate the glue and remove the seal.
4- Glue the false nail starting from the cuticle at a 45º angle and press to glue the nail completely. If you can place the edge under the cuticle, the effect will be even more natural.
5- Apply pressure for 15 seconds on the false nail placed for optimal adhesion.
It is recommended not to wet your hands for 2 hours after applying press-on nails.
Ideally, you should apply your press-on nails in the evening before going to sleep.
Installation with glue:
1- Once the nail is prepared, open the tube of glue provided and place a little glue on the natural nail and a little under the capsule.
2- Place the capsule on the nail starting from the cuticle towards the free edge and apply pressure for a few seconds.
How to remove press-on nails
Gel pads :
Gel pads allow for a shorter period of use than glue because they can be removed immediately if desired. Their durability depends on the nail preparation as well as the nature of the person's nail. Some people have "greasier" nails than others, and they will have more difficulty wearing press-on nails with gel pads because they will peel off more easily. This is why nail preparation cannot be done lightly.
The hold of Press on Nails applied with gel pads can exceed a week and even reach 2 weeks.
To remove them, the process is the same as for applying them with glue: put hot water in a bowl and add dish soap and an oil of your choice. Leave your nails soaking in the bowl long enough to be able to remove them without difficulty.
Glue :
Press-on nails applied with glue are intended to last a long time and it is not recommended to remove them before a week of application.
To remove them, you need to take a bowl of hot water and mix dish soap and an oil of your choice (olive oil for example). You will leave your fingers in the bowl for at least 15 minutes and using the cuticle pusher you will try to lift the capsule from the sides until it is completely removed.
You can then remove the excess glue with the nail file and/or the buffer block, on your natural nails as well as on your false nails.
Regardless of the method used, it is strongly recommended not to tear off your nails, even those with gel pads, as this may damage your natural nails and the tips.
After removal, your press on nails are ready to be stored in their box and reused whenever you want!
If you don't do another application after removal, you can put cuticle oil on your cuticles or cream to nourish your hands.
